Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 22 August 2026

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Secure Appliances Ltd website and provide general terms relating to enquiries, quotations, supply of equipment and provision of services by Secure Appliances Ltd.

1. Introduction

These Terms & Conditions govern the use of the Secure Appliances Ltd website and provide general terms relating to enquiries, quotations, supply of equipment and provision of services by Secure Appliances Ltd.

By using this website, submitting an enquiry, requesting a quotation or engaging Secure Appliances Ltd for products or services, you acknowledge that the applicable transaction may be subject to these terms together with any specific quotation, invoice, purchase order, contract, warranty terms or other written agreement issued or accepted in connection with the transaction.

Where specific written terms agreed for a particular transaction conflict with these general terms, the specific agreed terms will apply to that transaction to the extent of the conflict.

2. About Secure Appliances Ltd

Our services may include, depending on the customer's requirements:

  • Security system installation
  • Configuration and commissioning
  • Networking services
  • Maintenance
  • Troubleshooting
  • System upgrades
  • Technical support

The exact products, services and scope applicable to a customer are confirmed through the relevant quotation, invoice, work order, contract or other written communication.

3. Website Information

Information on this website is provided for general information and enquiry purposes.

Product photographs, descriptions, application guidance and solution information are intended to help customers identify potentially suitable equipment or services.

Unless expressly confirmed in a quotation or other written communication, information displayed on the website should not be treated as confirmation of:

  • Current stock availability
  • Price
  • Exact model
  • Brand
  • Technical specification
  • Compatibility
  • Installation requirements
  • Delivery time
  • Warranty period

Customers should contact Secure Appliances Ltd to confirm current requirements before placing an order or making a purchasing decision.

4. Product Availability and Specifications

Products and models may change from time to time because of availability, manufacturer changes, technological developments or supplier availability.

Where a particular brand, model or specification is important, the customer should ensure that it is expressly identified and confirmed in the applicable quotation or order documentation.

Secure Appliances Ltd may recommend an alternative product where the originally requested product is unavailable or where another product may be more suitable.

Any substitution affecting an agreed order should be communicated to the customer for appropriate confirmation.

5. Quotations

Unless stated otherwise in the quotation, quotations are invitations for the customer to place an order and are subject to confirmation of availability and any applicable quotation conditions.

A quotation may specify:

  • Products or services
  • Quantities
  • Prices
  • Taxes
  • Installation charges
  • Transport or delivery charges
  • Payment terms
  • Validity period
  • Scope of work
  • Exclusions
  • Warranty information
  • Other transaction-specific conditions

Customers should review quotations carefully before approving them.

Work or supply outside the agreed quotation may require an additional quotation or customer approval.

6. Prices and Taxes

Prices applicable to a transaction are those confirmed in the relevant quotation, invoice or other accepted transaction document.

Prices displayed or discussed informally should not be treated as final unless confirmed through the appropriate transaction documentation.

Applicable taxes will be handled in accordance with Kenyan requirements and as shown in the relevant transaction documents.

7. Payment

Payment terms may vary depending on the products, project or customer arrangement.

The applicable payment requirements will be stated in the quotation, invoice, contract or other transaction documentation.

Customers should make payments only through payment methods or accounts confirmed by Secure Appliances Ltd.

Where an order, procurement or installation requires a deposit or advance payment, work may commence only after the applicable payment requirement has been satisfied unless otherwise agreed in writing.

8. Orders and Procurement

Some products may need to be sourced or ordered specifically for a customer.

An order may become committed once the customer has approved the quotation or order and any required deposit or payment has been received.

Special-order, customised, specifically procured or already-installed equipment may be subject to restrictions on cancellation or return.

Any such restrictions should be communicated as part of the relevant transaction where applicable.

9. Delivery and Collection

Delivery or collection arrangements are agreed according to the particular transaction.

Estimated delivery times are estimates unless expressly agreed otherwise.

Delivery may be affected by product availability, supplier delays, transport conditions, site access or other circumstances outside the reasonable control of Secure Appliances Ltd.

Any applicable transport or delivery charges should be confirmed in the quotation or transaction documentation.

10. Installation Services

Where Secure Appliances Ltd is engaged to install equipment, the scope of installation will be determined by the applicable quotation, site requirements and agreed scope of work.

The customer is responsible for providing reasonable access to the premises and relevant installation areas at the agreed time.

Installation requirements may change if previously unknown site conditions are discovered.

Where additional materials, labour or work outside the agreed scope becomes necessary, Secure Appliances Ltd should communicate the requirement and obtain appropriate approval before carrying out chargeable additional work.

11. Site Surveys and System Design

A site survey may be recommended where the nature of the premises or proposed system requires physical assessment.

Recommendations are based on information reasonably available at the time of assessment.

Security and technology systems reduce or manage particular risks but cannot eliminate every possible risk.

No security system should be understood as a guarantee that theft, intrusion, fire, equipment failure or another adverse event cannot occur.

12. Customer Responsibilities

Customers should:

  • Provide accurate information about their requirements
  • Disclose relevant existing equipment or site conditions where known
  • Provide reasonable access where installation or service work is required
  • Review quotations and scope before approval
  • Follow reasonable operating and maintenance instructions
  • Protect passwords, PINs, administrator credentials and other system access information
  • Notify Secure Appliances Ltd promptly where a supplied or serviced system develops a problem

Customers should not provide passwords, PINs or unnecessary highly sensitive information through ordinary website enquiry forms.

13. Existing and Third-Party Systems

Secure Appliances Ltd may be requested to maintain, troubleshoot, configure, repair, integrate or upgrade equipment originally supplied or installed by another provider.

Our ability to work on such equipment depends on factors including:

  • Equipment condition
  • Compatibility
  • Availability of credentials
  • Manufacturer restrictions
  • Availability of replacement parts
  • Existing wiring or infrastructure
  • Previous configuration
  • Availability of technical information

Assessment or troubleshooting does not guarantee that an existing system can be repaired, restored, integrated or upgraded.

14. Warranties

Where equipment carries a manufacturer's or supplier's warranty, the applicable warranty terms may vary by product.

Any warranty provided for a particular product or installation should be confirmed in the relevant quotation, invoice, warranty documentation or other written communication.

Unless specifically agreed otherwise, warranty does not ordinarily cover problems caused by circumstances such as:

  • Misuse
  • Physical damage
  • Unauthorised modification
  • Incorrect third-party installation
  • Electrical faults or abnormal power conditions
  • Lightning or external environmental events
  • Water or moisture damage where equipment is not designed for such exposure
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Failure to follow manufacturer instructions

Warranty claims may require inspection before the applicable remedy can be determined.

Nothing in these terms is intended to exclude rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under applicable Kenyan law.

15. Returns and Exchanges

Return or exchange eligibility depends on the nature and condition of the product and the circumstances of the transaction.

Customers seeking a return or exchange should contact Secure Appliances Ltd promptly and provide the relevant transaction details.

Installed, configured, damaged, specially ordered, customised or otherwise non-resalable products may be subject to return restrictions, subject to applicable law.

Where a product is alleged to be defective, assessment may be required to determine the appropriate warranty or other remedy.

16. Maintenance and Technical Support

Maintenance, troubleshooting and technical support are provided according to the scope agreed with the customer.

A maintenance visit does not guarantee that equipment will never subsequently fail.

Troubleshooting involves diagnosis and reasonable attempts to identify the cause of a problem. Diagnosis does not guarantee that every fault can be repaired, particularly where equipment is damaged, obsolete, incompatible or unsupported.

17. Remote Access and Customer Credentials

Some systems may support remote viewing, remote administration or cloud-based services provided by equipment manufacturers or third parties.

Customers are responsible for protecting usernames, passwords, PINs and administrator credentials associated with their systems.

Secure Appliances Ltd should only be provided with access credentials where reasonably necessary to perform authorised work.

Customers should change temporary or shared credentials where appropriate following completion of work.

18. Third-Party Services

Some equipment may rely on third-party services such as:

  • Internet connectivity
  • Mobile networks
  • Cloud platforms
  • Mobile applications
  • Manufacturer servers
  • Email services
  • SMS services

Availability and operation of these services may be outside the control of Secure Appliances Ltd.

We cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability of independent third-party platforms or telecommunications services.

19. Website Enquiries

Website enquiry forms assist customers in preparing enquiries.

The website currently hands enquiries to communication channels such as WhatsApp or email and does not itself constitute acceptance of an order.

An enquiry becomes a transaction only after the relevant products, services, price and other applicable terms have been appropriately confirmed.

20. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, website content created for Secure Appliances Ltd, including original text, layout, graphics and branding, may be protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Third-party product names, trademarks and images remain the property of their respective owners where applicable.

Website content may not be reproduced for misleading, fraudulent or unauthorised commercial purposes.

21. Limitation and Responsible Use

Secure Appliances Ltd will endeavour to provide products and services with reasonable care and skill.

Security, surveillance, alarm, access-control, fire-detection, networking and related systems are tools designed to perform particular functions. Their effectiveness depends on appropriate selection, installation, configuration, maintenance, user operation and circumstances at the site.

Nothing on this website constitutes a guarantee that a security or safety incident will never occur.

Nothing in these Terms & Conditions is intended to limit or exclude liability where doing so would be unlawful under applicable Kenyan law.

22. Privacy

Personal information provided through enquiries or communications is handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Please refer to: Privacy Policy

23. Changes to These Terms

Secure Appliances Ltd may update these Terms & Conditions where necessary to reflect changes to the website, services, business practices or applicable requirements.

The current version will be identified by the "Last updated" date displayed on this page.

24. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Kenya.

Any dispute arising from a transaction will also be subject to any specific dispute-resolution provisions agreed in the relevant contract or transaction documentation.
