Guidance
Choosing the right electric fence equipment
Perimeter size
The total length of the perimeter, and how many sides are covered, determines the quantity of wire, insulators and brackets required.
Wall or fence structure
Masonry walls, chain-link and timber posts each need different mounting hardware, so tell us what the fence is built from.
Energiser selection
Energisers are matched to the perimeter length and layout, which we confirm after reviewing the site rather than guessing from a catalogue.
Zoning and alarm signalling
Larger perimeters are often split into sections, and can be arranged to signal an alarm when the fence is interfered with.
Gates and access points
Gates, driveways and pedestrian entrances need specific handling so the fence line remains continuous and safe to use.
Maintenance and access
Vegetation, adjacent structures and access for servicing all affect how the fence should be laid out.
Tell us the perimeter length and wall type and we will confirm suitable equipment, quantities and installation requirements. Request advice or a site assessment.
Next step
Need help specifying an electric fence?
Tell us the length of the perimeter, the type of wall or fence and whether there are gates to cover. We can help identify suitable equipment and installation requirements.
