Choosing the right recorder

Camera technology

IP cameras and analogue HD cameras use different recorders. Tell us what you already have so the recorder matches the cameras on site.

Number of channels

The recorder must have enough channels for your current cameras, plus room for any positions you plan to add later.

Recording and storage

How many cameras record, and how many days of footage you want to keep, determines the storage capacity to fit.

Remote viewing

Viewing footage away from the premises depends on the recorder and on the internet connection at the site.

Existing system

We can check whether a new recorder will work with cameras and cabling that are already installed before you replace anything.

Network requirements

IP systems need suitable switching and network capacity, which we can review as part of the quotation.
